What is the Same Chance Walk for Autism?
The Same Chance Walk for Autism is AsIAm’s annual fundraising event, bringing communities together to raise awareness and support for Autistic people in Ireland. By taking part, you help ensure that every Autistic person has the same chance to fully participate in society.
When and where does the walk take place?
The walk takes place on April 5th at multiple locations nationwide. Participants can also choose to walk in their local area if they prefer.
How long is the walk?
The walk is typically 5km long, but participants are encouraged to walk a distance that suits them.
How do I sign up?

What should I bring?
Comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and water are recommended. If you have a Same Chance Walk for Autism t-shirt or banner, feel free to wear or bring it!
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, friendly dogs on leads are welcome at most locations, but please check with your local venue’s pet policy.

How do I fundraise for the walk?
When you register, you’ll receive a fundraising pack with tips and resources. You will also beset up with a personal fundraising page on iDonate and can encourage friends and family to support you by sharing the link.
Is there a fundraising target?
While there’s no set target, we encourage participants to raise as much as they can. Every euro makes a difference in supporting Autistic people in Ireland.
How will the funds be used?
Funds raised will go towards AsIAm’s national programmes, services, and advocacy efforts to create a more inclusive society for Autistic people.

Can I organise my own walk?
Yes! We encourage individuals, businesses, schools, and communities to host their own Same Chance Walk for Autism.
